Alleyway

Alleyway is basically a revisit of Nintendo's earlier Block Breaker, starring Mario as the pilot of your paddle-ship.

Paddle Controller Accessory#

Alleyway has code to communicate with an unknown, unreleased accessory, speculated to be a paddle controller. It is unknown why it wasn't released.

Sound Test Code#

There are several functions that never run which allowed developers to trigger various sound effects and music for testing.

Debug Bounce Speed Display#

Editing 4A29 to 00 displays the ball's bounce speed in the lower left.

Unused Tiles#

No uses of the words "Daisy", "Finish", "Jump", "Quick", "Wario", "Xylophone" or "Zebra" here.
The letters D, F, J, Q, W, X, and Z are in the font but never seen, as there is no text that uses those letters.
