New Play Control! Mario Power Tennis is the New Play Control! port of Mario Power Tennis with motion controls.

Unused Music#

Although not technically unused as it can be heard in the Records Menu, the name may suggest it was intended to be used as an early version of the Exhibition menu music.

Unused Graphics#

Present in the root folder of the Wii version, banner.arc contains banners leftover from the Wii SDK, as well as part of the Japanese logo for We Love Golf!, which Camelot previously developed.

Unused Online SDK#

Code present in main.dol contains multiple references to the ETH (LAN) and IP (Online) GameCube SDKs. One piece of networking code remains intact for the retail game - a function that takes a given network command and attempts to execute it. First, it initializes the network, checking if the Broadband Adapter is connected and retrieving an IP address. Afterwards it frees up the command handle and sets the current network command if it is valid (i.e. DISCONNECT).

Mario Power Tennis was originally planned to include online and local networking before the feature was cancelled due to potential lag.
