Early

Final

In the early renders, certain characters are wearing their Arks of the Cosmos where they would during gameplay. Amy, Blaze, Cream, and NiGHTS (almost entirely obscured) wear theirs as necklaces/chest ornaments, Shadow wears his as an anklet, Amigo decorates a maraca with it, Silver wears it on his right hip (in the final game, he wears it on his left hip,) and Sonic and Billy Hatcher wear theirs on their wrists.

In the final renders, only Sonic wears an Ark of the Cosmos.

Some characters also have different poses and lightning.

Early Extreme Gears Renders#

Early renders of Extreme Gears can be found in "MMSEA_GS" archive both on PS2 and Wii. Most of them only have placeholder renders.

Metal City Title Card#

The title card for Metal City from first "Sonic Riders" can be found in "G2S00E" archive both on PS2 and Wii. Judging by the name, this level was transferred to Zero Gravity as a test. No other files seem to be present. SRZG_Metal_City_Title.png

At least two Extreme Gears have a different names. Textures with the old names can be found in "MMSEA_GS" archive both on PS2 and Wii.

Misspelled Names#

For whatever reason, Rouge The Bat and Cream The Rabbit were misspelled on early version of texture. In an earlier version they are listed as Roug The Bat and Crea The Rabbit.

Truncated Menu Music/Early Remix#

The song played in the main menu is what appears to be an instrumental of an early Electro Extended remix of Un-gravitify. The song normally loops, but if the looping is disabled through a specialized audio player capable of playing ADX files (like foobar2000), the song can be heard in full, with a proper ending. Disappointingly, the instrumental of Catch Me If You Can heard in the Options menu simply cuts off if looping is disabled and has no ending to speak of.

Version Differences#

Although the game was released only for Wii in Japan, the US PS2 version's language selection includes both Japanese text and audio. The European PS2 version removes these options.
