Sonic Lost World is the Nintendo 3DS counterpart of the console version with the same name. On one hand, it features stages with fully 3D gameplay for the first (and only) time on a dedicated handheld Sonic game. But on the other hand, there's much more obnoxious level design compared to past handheld Sonic games as well as a few forced gyro segments.

This was also the last Sonic title that Dimps was involved with, which ended their 12-year run that began with Sonic Advance.
