Street Fighter X Tekken

Unused Video#

stream/CMN/video contains a testing video called "movie_sample" for left/right/surround audio. It's the only video found in the folder itself, as (for example) endings have their own folder.

GDFInstall#

The PC version's main folder contains a program called "GDFInstall", a .dll named "GameuxInstallHelper", and another named "GDFSFXTK". The applet depends on "GameuxInstallHelper.dll" to work. By dropping the game's Game Definition File (GDF) "GDFSFXTK.dll" onto the "GDFInstall.exe", it will install the game executable into Windows Vista/7's "Games Explorer" folder along with all its links and information, if it wasn't already inserted by the game during installation. This was likely used during development of the port.

Unused Text#

The PlayStation 3 version's characters all have winquotes against the bosses of the game.

Midboss

Final Boss

Cole

Pandora? Not interested.

I'm used to fighting monsters. Gonna have to step it up a notch if you wanna take me down.

Toro

Just what is this "Pandora" that everyone is talking about...

I did it! I'm the best there is!

Kuro

No need to worry! I'll take good care of Pandora. Just leave it to me!

Man, that was an insane last boss... You're not gonna get back up or anything, right?

The Archive folder contains a file named dat with no extension. It contains the following.:

Lei's Cellphone#

SFXT-LeiPhone.png SFXT-Leiphonetex.png

Lei's only appointed gadget item is his cellphone, seen only in his rival scene. However though it has "bones" so that it can open up, and its texture has the screen which is completely black.

Unused Animations#

Cole, Toro and Kuro all have poses for the "Continue?" screen during Arcade Mode, but since you cannot play that mode with them in the PlayStation 3 version they go unused. A PC mod that allows you to play as them will also let you use them in Arcade Mode, revealing their unused poses. It's unknown what emotes Toro or Kuro would've used in this animation.

Unused Audio#

file:SFXT-TBC.ogg

Called "GAME_SE_21" in the files. A leftover from the demo version of this game, and uses a different announcer (Jamieson Price, the announcer for Super Street Fighter IV).

Regional Differences#

Aside from the usual name-swaps, a couple characters have their names differently pronounced.

Mega Man isn't called Rockman in the Japanese version, likely because he's based off his appearance on the US Mega Man box art.
