Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves brings the Fatal Fury series back after 26 years. Set about a year after the events of Garou: Mark of the Wolves, this entry boasts the Episodes of South Town story mode, crossplay, special guest fighters (Cristiano Ronaldo, Salvatore Ganacci, Ken, Chun-Li, Kenshiro, Sano Manjiro and Ken Ryuguji), and a soundtrack that features themes by many world-class DJs (Steve Aoki, Alan Walker, Afrojack, Luciano, Alok, Butch, R3HAB, Sidney Samson, Artbat, Solomun, Dubioza Kolektiv, Miss Monique and Moontalk). It was nominated for and won "Best Fighting Game" at The Game Awards 2025.

A Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game will be released on October 22, 2026.
