Developer Message#
Present in the nandb:\usr\etc folder's nineties file. This is not a haiku, which typically goes 5-7-5 rather than the 5-8-6 used here.

Unused Graphics#
nandb:\usr\share\ui\snes-eur\resources\sprites\packed.png#
Present among the prompts for both flat and outlined buttons. Flat A and outlined X prompts are never used anywhere.
A flat D-Pad prompt. The outlined one without any line directions is used, the flat one isn't.
A button prompt for the save file window indicating to press Up, something you can't do.
An icon of a Famicom Disk System diskette, which is only used on the Japanese version of the console it's meant for.
Early versions of the save icons with a gray, red, and green pen.
Various region-based SNES carts without a pen. These look slightly different compared to their pen counterpart.
nandb:\usr\share\ui\snes-eur\resources\sprites\dot_num.png#
The numbers 1-9 and a colon, using the Super Mario World font.
nandb:\usr\share\ui\snes-eur\resources\sprites\dummy.png#
A dummy icon in case boxart is missing. This sprite can be seen by incorrectly uploading a game or application with Hakchi2.
nandb:\usr\share\canoe\rollback-ui\ui.png#
A countdown timer is present among the rewind UI files. The filenames listed in ui.json suggest that the rewind loading bar was a rotating circle that would rotate clockwise from black to white.

Regional Differences#
Game Selection#
As with the NES Classic, the SNES Classic has five games exclusive to each region.
Exclusive to the international versions:
Exclusive to the Japanese version:
- Fire Emblem: Monshou no Nazo
- Ganbare Goemon: Yukihime Kyuushutsu Emaki
- Panel de Pon
- Super Formation Soccer
- Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers
Due to the fact that all games in the international versions use their US 60hz versions, even in the European and Australian versions, it is also worth noting that any games which originally had different titles in Europe and Australia (Kirby's Fun Pak, Starwing, and Super Probotector: Alien Rebels) use their respective American and/or original Japanese names. The original European/Australian names are still used on the back of the box, however.

- The design of the main menu in the American version is based on the original North American design of the SNES. Likewise, the design of the main menu in the European/Australian version is based on the PAL Version design of the SNES, and the Japanese version is based on the design of the Super Famicom.
- The international versions have a language select option. This is absent in the Japanese version.
