Othello (SG-1000)

This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

This version of Othello was first released as built-in software for the Othello Multivision home console. Sega would later release it as a standalone cartridge for the SG-1000 and SC-3000.

Aside from the logo change, the Sega version modified the copyright info along with changing "HIT ANY KEY!" to a "push either of these buttons" prompt.

The gameplay screen was practically overhauled for Sega's version: the game's logo was again redrawn, along with being recolored from blue to a reddish pink and moved over a bit. The board was redrawn from one solid rectangle to an outlined square, now including the number column as part of the board proper. A Sega logo was added, and the UI on the right side was reformatted and redrawn.
