Version 5.74#
The title screen shows a version number of 8.87, but the strings for it in the code have a version number of 5.74 instead.
Below is, for each localization, the text displayed on the title screen extracted directly from the ROM (offsets written below each language):

Spanish |

Before displaying the title screen, the respective text string is copied to RAM, then "5.74" is replaced with "8.87" by reading it from ROM at offsets 0x00FEA-0x00FED.

Hidden "Backup Options" menu#
There is a hidden "Backup Options" menu entry in the alternate menu shown when the Workboy ROM is run without the Workboy hardware connected to the link port. The function executed by this entry starts at address 02DA7. The visibility of the menu entry is gated by whether a variable in Work RAM at address C233 is non-zero (visible).
To access this entry there should be a valid Workboy configuration in SRAM. Next the entry can be revealed by searching for the string "ITCMRT" in the Phone Book application. The search will report "No match found. Any key to continue.", however upon returning to the menu a sixth entry named "BACKUP OPTIONS" will be present.
When the new menu entry is selected it displays the prompt "PRESS A TO CONFIRM ANY OTHER KEY ABORTS". After confirming the program waits in an idle loop for an external device to drive the serial port with a command. An "S" command triggers sending the contents of SRAM Banks 0 through 3 out the link port, and a "W" command triggers reading in data from the link port and storing it into SRAM Banks 0 through 3. After either command is complete it jumps to address 00000 to restart the program.
