Handheld games are a type of digital video game system that debuted in 1977 with Mattel Auto Race. Notable among these are the Game & Watch line and Tiger's numerous (usually licensed) games.
Very popular to this day, due to novelty retro devices or mostly straight-up knockoffs with pirated games.
