"Your child's outgrown the Leapster, and you're thinking they're done and ready for college. But you'd be wrong."
The Didj was an educational console where the main gimmick was that it could be customized. It had custom skins that you could physically apply to the console, Mii-like avatars called Didjis, and "Micromods" (cheats/DLC) that you could unlock by playing the games to earn Bitz. It also had a dangerously defective charging base.
It wasn't much of a success, but the hardware would later be repurposed for the Leapster Explorer and LeapPad Explorer, with its games being playable on the former via backwards compatibility.
Unused Graphics#
debugBG.png is a simple white background with a button prompt.
This...interesting stock photo is internally named HealthAndSafety.png and might have been a placeholder for the Health and Safety screen shown when booting up the console.
A cartoony clipart image of a lightning cloud, internally named LightningSplash.png. Most likely a placeholder for the LeapFrog legal/splash screen. It may also be a reference to the console's internal name.
A red X on a white background with "MISS?" written on it. According to its filename, missingAsset.png, it was probably used in place of an image that could not be found. This graphic is also present in the LeapPad Explorer as a placeholder app icon.

A voice clip of the narrator saying "Shutting down." When actually shutting down the console, an instrumental jingle (called L_BROM_PowerDownSfx_6.ogg internally) plays instead.
Internal Project Name#
The Didj and its games refer to it as "Lightning" internally.
