This is a sub-page of Deltarune/Chapter 5/Unused Graphics.
Sub-Pages#
Toriel#
Weirdly enough, a sprite of Toriel in her Dark World design sitting in normal Chairiel. Despite Toriel only appearing in the Dark World in Chapter 3 so far, this specific sprite is exclusive to Chapter 5 and is not present in Chapter 3's files.
Pizzapants#
Pizzapants preparing a big yell. In-game, only the first frame is shown.

Asgore#

To do: |
Labeled as spr_face_asgore_matome, this is a crownless version of Asgore's expanded Chapter 5 faceset (spr_face_asgore_matome_crown). Only two faces from this set (24 and 26) are used, after Kris and Susie are kicked out of the Dark World.
A crowned version of Asgore's eighth Light World portrait. Found outside matome_crown, like all the other crowned variants of his Light World portraits.
Various unused Dark World portraits.
Asgore never gets to walk up or down while wearing his initial outfit.
Asgore skateboarding with the youth. In-game, only the first frame is shown.
The first frame of Flowery hugging Asgore go unseen, since he already has one arm around his shoulders when the scene starts. The last frame is also unused, since Flowery immediately snaps back to stading straight after Asgore notices the Fun Gang.
Asgore's surprised walkset doesn't play long enough to make use of its fourth frame.
The first in a series of early iterations of Asgore getting transported to Flower Castle. The sprites of Asgore flailing about are the same, but in the final game the petals were made separate sprites that swirl around dynamically, rather than being a defined animation.
A version of spr_asgore_petals that lacks Asgore, from after it was decided to make the petals separate.
An earlier/alternate version of spr_asgore_petals_c with different petal arrangement and no shading whatsoever.
A set of two animations, labeled spr_asgore_petals_start and spr_asgore_petals_loop respectively. The petals in loop are basically identical to the ones from spr_asgore_petals_c, only with an outline and more detailing.
While only the first static frame is ever seen, Asgore has a walk down set for both his regular and flowery-face armored designs.
Asgore's walking up (armored) walkset doesn't play long enough to make use of its fourth frame.
Two spritesets of Asgore walking down in his armor, one looking mad, and the other very mad, with his head tilted downwards. May have been earlier/alternate versions of his "reveal", seen upon entering Flower Castle (where in the final game he walks down, looking to the side with an annoyed expression).
An unused sprite of Asgore holding up documents with both hands.
Asgore turning back to look at Flowery in the left castle wing cutscene is actually the second frame in a set. The first goes unseen, and shows Asgore looking to the side at a slight angle.
Flowery fist bumping Asgore, seemingly intended for the left castle wing cutscene.
An earlier version of Flowery's shoulder rub, from the right castle wing's cutscene. The final version changed the shoulder pat to a separate sprite of Flowery dynamically wobbling to give the impression of a clumsy massage. Most noteworthy is that Asgore's cape is shown with an earlier color scheme, consisting of a two shades of pink, fitting given the chapter's central color scheme of "pink and gold". The final design went for purple, with much harsher black shading, more akin to Asgore's Undertale design.
The expressions Asgore pulls when overlooking the void on the castle's upper floor are actually the first frames of four different walksets (only one of which gets used in full).
An early animation of Asgore helping Kris up after the fight with Flowery. Kris is missing from the animation itself, and Asgore's expression stays the same in the last two frames
Asgore's reaction to Blue's healing clouds is a bit odd internally. It starts by calling spr_asgore_kneel_annoyed, whose second frame (where he actually looks mad) is never referenced. The script then goes on to call the second frame of spr_asgore_kneel_look_up, whose first frame is unused… though it's identical to the first frame of annoyed, with only the canvas size being different.
Various unused expressions for Asgore kneeling, as he laments by Kris' side.
Some Asgore expressions, which are never called in the code. The first one is identical to his standard standing right frame, only with a different canvas size.
Asgore in his armor, looking sad. Maybe intended for the end of the chapter, after he's done some self-reflection.
A completely white sprite of Asgore, specifically facing up. Never called anywhere.
A statue of Asgore. Likely an unused piece of decoration, perhaps related to the large bushes in the foyer, which are in a similar pose.
Last thing worth noting is that Asgore's charge animation, spr_asgore_armor_charge_verymad, contains an unused exact duplicate that is simply known as spr_asgore_armor_charge.

Rudy#
Sample version of Rudy on the ladder. This is comprised of several different sprites in-game.

Jockington#
A right-facing talk sprite for bearded Jockington. In-game, he is only seen facing left with his beard. Despite not being used in-game, the first frame of this specific sprite was shown in a prerelease teaser for Chapter 5 that was posted on the Undertale Twitter account.
