This is a sub-page of Deltarune/Chapter 2.
Unused Music#
alarm_titlescreen.ogg#
Dogcheck returns! The old Dogcheck screen from Chapter 1 is still here, but an alternate one appears in place of that one while playing Chapter 2. This is the music that plays during the alternative one. The filename implies it was originally made as a title screen theme for the scrapped Alarm Clock app from the Undertale Kickstarter.

This track is an unfinished version of "Cyber Battle". cyber_battle_backing_solo, embedded in data.win, is used instead in the final game.

An early version of "WELCOME TO THE CITY". It seems to be the one Toby Fox posted on Twitter 2 years prior. Both the Twitter version and this version are in 160 BPM, while the used one (cybercity.ogg) is in 152 BPM.

"Girl Next Door" ( |

Seems to be an early version of "Girl Next Door", one of Noelle's themes.

"Digital Roots" ( |

root_8bit of Chapter 3 weird route |
A faster version of "Digital Roots", without the ambient wind sound. The filename for this variation implies that it was originally intended for Spamton's shop; the released game instead uses "Dialtone" (spamton_neo_after.ogg).

Unused Sound Effects#
Cyber Battle Backing#
Scrapped backing stems for Cyber Battle. These stems, particularly the bongos, hardly line up with the song itself, significantly desyncing as the song goes. However, two of these, the arpeggio and the bongos, found another use as backing instruments in "When I Get Happy I Dance Like This", while the backing chord found another use in the main Cyber Battle theme.

The following is a mockup of these stems playing along with Cyber Battle:

Rhythm Battle#
Cymbal.
Kick drum.
Snare.
Notes.
Probably for a scrapped rhythm battle.

Boxing Rounds (Bitcrushed)#
Sounds for other rounds in the arcade boxing minigame; there's only one round in that version of the minigame.

Lancer Cough#
Perhaps Lancer was supposed to audibly cough, instead of just through text.

Queen Noises#
Random Queen noises.
Alternative dialogue sound for Queen. The fact that this clip sounds substantially different from Queen's typical dialogue sounds, combined with the suffix "alt" in the filename, seems to indicate that this would've been used in certain specialized situations such as running calculations.

Keyboard Puzzle Characters#
Like with the graphics, there are a few audio clips for characters that are never used in the keyboard puzzles in Cyber World. The last one is of maru, or ゜. It is a character used as a dialectical mark in Japanese. However, marumaru, or 〇, is a common placeholder character used in Japanese games. So the maru clip is likely using that specific connotation, and was likely used when viewing placeholder puzzles using 〇 as a character. (The audio clip for the exclamation point is used only in the Japanese version. Unused code also suggests that Annoying Mouse Room 3's "ILOVEMOUSE" was going to be changed to "ILUVNEZUMI" in the Japanese version, which would have used the letter "Z", but the code goes unused and the Japanese version in-game still uses "ILOVEMOUSE".)

Rouxls Kaard Dialogue Sounds(?)#
Judging by the names, these could be scrapped Rouxls Kaard dialogue sounds. Having 3 sounds imply that Queen's voice system was used for his dialogue sounds. The video on the right is a recreation of how he would sound like in-game if these sounds were used.

Other#
Context unknown. The word "leaf" can also refer to paper, so it might've played when you dodged the homework in one of Berdly's attacks. Later used in future chapters onwards, starting with Chapter 3.
Might be related to the cheering crowd in Berdly's flashback cutscene? Used in Chapter 3.
Presumably an early shooting sound for the Yellow Soul. Later used in both Chapter 3 (during Tenna's fight when the player gets hit during the final attack) and Chapter 5 (during one of Pink's attacks).
(Source: Original TCRF research)
A strange deep swooping sound. From its filename, snd_dtrans_heavypassing, it appears this was a part of the dark world transition animation.
(Source: Original TCRF research)
Placeholder static noises, sampled from a longer sound originally created by GowlerMusic. The used noise produced by the TV in the ending is titled tv_noise.ogg.

Partially Unused Music#
gameover_short.ogg ("Determination")#
Chapter 2 uses "Determination" from Undertale's OST for a gag. It only plays for roughly 4 seconds, but the audio file is longer than that.
