Mega Man X7 (PlayStation 2)
Unused Graphics #
Careful, you'll lose an eye.
This page or section needs more images.
There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this .
Specifically: If anyone is able to access that second link, please upload the image here.
Stage Select #
While the opening stage can't be revisited, both parts of the stage have a name for the stage select screen: Crimson Fortress and Highway .
It also has placeholders for an armor portrait and an extra icon for Zero's attacks (who has one less than X and Axl).
Regional Differences #
Title Screen #
This game, as well as Command Mission and X8 , and just like the Mega Man Zero (from 2 to 4) and the Mega Man Battle Network (Battle Chip Challenge, 4, and 5) series, the European title screen uses a different, plain-looking logo compared to the US version.
Introduction #
Japan
International
In the Japanese version, Aluce (one of the criminal Reploids in the opening scene) has a cigar that was removed in the international versions. To accommodate the censorship of the game, the cigar was eventually removed in Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 .
In the Japanese version, the opening song is "Code Crush" by Rina Aiuchi. The international versions have an instrumental song instead, named "No Holdin' Back" in Rockman X Sound Box . The opening cutscene is also made slightly faster in the international versions.
The US version has an option to switch the voices from English to Japanese. This was removed from the European version.
Name Changes #
Five of the eight members of Red Alert had their names changed for international releases, but you probably guessed that by yourself.
Tornado Debonion
Tornado Tonion
Hellride Inobusky
Ride Boarski
Snipe Ariquick
Snipe Anteator
Wind Karasting
Wind Crowang
Vanishing Gungaroon
Vanishing Gungaroo
Ending #
The ending song "Lazy Mind" by Showtaro Morikubo (X's Japanese voice actor up to this point) was edited to remove vocals for the International versions. In order played: International starts at 0:00 and Japanese starts at 3:03.
In English Legacy Collection 2 , this song was changed again by replacing it with a track called "Break Out".
Revisional differences #
The loading times for X7 in Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 were drastically lowered.
