Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension is a very odd footnote of LEGO's history: a GBA game based on a toyline with little connection to LEGO's brand that was also tied to a YTV/Fox Kids television show which only lasted for two seasons. Released two months after the last first-run episode aired, the game ended up getting a mixed reception, with criticism often being directed toward the gameplay and controls.

Still, that was a better outcome than Asylum Entertainment's Galidor game for Windows and consoles, which were scheduled for release the following year only to be scrapped due to the developer running into financial issues... only for the Windows version to get a silent release in 2005.

Debug Menu#

Press Down (×3), Left (×4), Up (×3), or use GameShark code 03002E4C19, at the main menu. This is comprised of a level select, a sound test, and a color code that appears to indicate each level's state of development. Aside from the Test Level, each individual level (and the Main Menu!) is given the color listed for "Alpha", implying that this hadn't been updated during the game's development and was left in by mistake.

This also allows for free-movement mode to be triggered by pressing Select during gameplay.

Test Level#

A test level made up of LEGO bricks, which might be Galidor's closest connection to the toy brand outside the name. Can be accessed via the debug menu, or by using GameShark code 03002E4C18.

Error Message#

GameShark code 03002E4C1D will start the game at a flash error message.

Unused Music#

This page or section needs more audio.
There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough audio. Please fix this.
Specifically: Rip the music?

Tracks 02, 04, and 05 are unused.
