Welcome to the Next Level...online.

Sega Genesis games, from a system not from Nintendo, are available on Switch Online, powered by the Genesis Mini's M2Engage emulator. Fittingly, the app's startup sound is the "SE-GA!" chant.

Easter Egg#

Mega Drive/Genesis Control Pad Menu#

This page or section needs more images. There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this. Specifically: Upload images of the menu with and without the Switch MD/GEN Control Pad.

Whenever a Mega Drive or Genesis control pad is attached, the main menu's color (Red/Black (INT) or White (JP/AS) colors) and sound effects (from Sonic the Hedgehog 2) will change.

Regional Differences#

This page or section needs more images. There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this. Specifically: Add Japanese/Korean Mega Drive title screen, as well as all app icons.

Title Screen#

US	BR/EU/AU	Russia

Naturally, the title screen differs between regions due to the console name differing between regions. If the system language is set to Russian, a unique title screen appears, reading simply "16-bit Classics from SEGA" in Russian with no logo, due to the Mega Drive name being trademarked by other Russian entities at the time.

Game Lineup#

Puyo Puyo is replaced with its Sonic-themed reskin Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine in most countries, as per usual with these collections.

Exclusive to Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan#

Exclusive to North America, Brazil, Europe, Australia, and South Korea#
