Along the way, meet Rick the Hamster, Kine the Fish, and Coo the Owl. |
Along the way, meet Rick, Kine, and Coo, who look like a hamster, a fish, and an owl, respectively. |
The English description of Kirby's Dream Land 2 (derived almost verbatim from the game's 3DS Virtual Console description) was revised in v.1.1.1, changing the part that describes Kirby's animal friends to make it clear that they resemble real-world animals. This distinction has always been the case in Japan, whereas most English promotional material (including the VC description) was seemingly unaware of this and referred to them as actual real-world animals.
