SpongeBob SquarePants: The Yellow Avenger is a fine platformer at best.

Unused Graphics#

Conversations#

Bubble Bass and Flats the Flounder were apparently meant to be in the game at one point, but do not appear, nor have models associated with them.

SmallHeads#

SBYellowDS_BubbleBass_SmallHead.pngSBYellowDS_FlatsFlounder_SmallHead.png

Bubble Bass and Flats also have corresponding small cutscene head icons.

Unused Models#

WheelchairGal.rbh#

An elderly woman who was meant to appear in Shady Shoals.

Debug Menus#

This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: Is there any way to access these menus?

In Art/Misc, three debug menus can be found; DebugMenu, DebugMenuNICK and DebugMenuTHQ. Trying to access them by replacing files crashes the game.

Appears to be a pretty extensive debug menu.

DebugMenuTHQ#

Mostly the same as DebugMenu.pixml but with some options removed. The name suggests it was made for THQ employees to test various aspects of the game.

DebugMenuNICK#

Only contains cutscene related options. The name suggests it was made for Nickelodeon employees to quickly check the game's cutscenes.

Unused Levels#

This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.

In Art/Levels are some test levels; CameraTestArea, CreatureTestArea, QuestTestArea, and TestArea.

Note: These areas were loaded by replacing files, so the areas might not 100% look like how they're supposed to.

Camera Test Area#

SBYellowDS_Cameratestarea1.png SBYellowDS_Cameratestarea4.png SBYellowDS_Cameratestarea2.png SBYellowDS_Cameratestarea3.png

A map made for testing the game's camera. Between the 3 boxes are 2 paths that take you into the background. To the right are a bunch of randomly placed models, including a platform that has the textures of one of the enemies on it.

Creature Test Area#

SBYellowDS_Creaturetestarea1.png SBYellowDS_Creaturetestarea2.png SBYellowDS_Creaturetestarea3.png

A map made for testing enemies and objects. It's mostly a linear map with a few hazard scattered around.

Unused Text#

At 6EF in Levels.rbh are the names of several cut levels. Muscle Beach was merged with Goo Lagoon in the final game.
