This prototype is documented on Hidden Palace.

On March 1st 2025, prototypes, documents and video files from four SpongeBob games were leaked onto 4chan. Among these is a very primitive build of "The Patrick Star Game" from December 15th 2022.

General Differences#

• There is no audio whatsoever.
• Clicking the left mouse button makes Patrick punch, and right mouse button headbutt. In the final game, there is no punching and the right mouse button makes him belch.
  • According to Patrick GDD 1.3 Feedback.docx, this was at the publisher's request, as they didn't want "Patrick to just rage out and beat people up".
• Several NPC Patrick's are seen running around the map.
• Talking to SpongeBob will enable three concurrent quests; igniting three explosive barrels throughout the map, jumping 6 meters in the air, and making a Krabby Patty. Upon completing all three, SpongeBob will disappear.

Debug Menu#

• Pressing the "T" key will bring up a debug menu, it shows the controls.

Model Differences#

• SpongeBob and Patrick's model geometry are more or less the same as their finalized counterparts, but their textures are brighter. The spots on Patrick's body were rearranged, and SpongeBob had highlights added to his eyes, as well as his freckles being scaled down and moved up to the top of his cheeks.

Unused Models#

T-Pose#

• An early Patrick model with no accompanying texture. This model can be seen in early development footage.

FetchItemTrashCan#

• A trash can, likely meant for a quest involving throwing out trash.
