This article has just been started and needs the article basics added. |
The third entry in the Theme Park series. The US title is questionable, as its barely even Sims themed, and indeed, Will Wright had barely anything to do with it and its predecessor.
Unused Graphics#
The texture used when the desired texture is not found.
A debug font, leftover from Sim Theme Park.
Unused Sounds#

|
To do: |
There are a lot of unused audio clips from the game, mostly comprising of leftovers from Theme Park World. Interesting some unused audio clips also got dubbed for the US release.

Welcome to the demonstration version of Theme Park Inc. I'm starting you at Assistant Manager; there's lots of work involved, and I have confidence that you'll make a great successor! Work your way up the top of the ladder and you'll set an old man free! All set? I hear the golf course calling me! |
It appears that the game had a demonstration/trial version with a very limited version of the gameplay of one of the lands. Obviously in the full version, the game directly jumps to the Land of Invention without any sort of tutorial aside from Buzzy and the board giving instructions and orders. |

Congratulations! You've successfully completed the demonstration! Now you're ready for the full game! Oh, one more thing! I suspect you have the talent to eventually rise to company president! That's right; you'll take my place and I'll take a permanent holiday in the sun. See you soon! |
Same as above. |
The US version has a localized version of said files with the alternate title.

The Return of Buzzy#
Lewis Macleod was originally brought early on to reprise his role as Buzzy. At an unknown point in time Macleod and his character were replaced with a blue colored version of Buzzy and an unknown voice actor. Given how many of the board characters were voiced by Lewis, it may be a case of making Buzzy more distinct from those.

Oh no! You've failed to many challenges and the board of directors aren't happy about it! I'm afraid you've been fired! |

It's my sad duty to inform you that you failed too many challenges. The board of directors have no choice but to fire you. Sorry. |
Early Land Of Invention#
Found in W/Intro in \Bullfrog\SimCoaster\Data\levels. Appears to use the Theme Park World transport hub as seen in early screenshots.
Debug Startup#
Present in the game's main executable, game.exe, is a dialog box for what would have been a startup configuration.

Hidden Save File#
Upon first launch of the game (tested with the original U.S. release of SimCoaster), the game creates a hidden save file named 5Ian Tro-Sequins in the saves\users folder within the game's install directory. The game formats save file names as the save slot number followed by the player's name, so this save file isn't visible in the user interface as the game only has four save slots. Apart from this, there is nothing notable about the save file, as renaming it so it can be loaded reveals it is identical to a newly created save.
