Revisional Differences#
The Health and Safety Information app on the old 3DS had a unique menu complete with music. On the New 3DS, the application is just a manual and launches the manual applet with the manual inside it (that's a lot of manuals for a manual app), meaning that the music is no longer present.
The old version is known as safe internally while the new version is known as ssafe.
The New 3DS and New 2DS XL Health and Safety app isn't updated while performing a system update (likely due to a mistake Nintendo made), so the app's revision is the one that comes preinstalled with the system.

Old 2DS uses different labels for the buttons and is missing the option for information on 3D safety since those devices don't support 3D.
There are two revisions of the New 3DS and New 2DS XL manuals, one with only one category (v0.1.0), and another with multiple categories (v0.2.1).
The New 2DS XL features the same Health & Safety app as the other New 3DS models, with no differences, with the application being updated on all New 3DS systems released after to include information specifically pertaining to the New 2DS XL.
