Sound Test#
Press A, C, Up, B, Up, B, A, Down at the main menu to enable a cheats menu with a sound test function.
Unused Bio Screens#
A bio screen for Smoke was planned, but the text was never written, so it just uses Kano's bio text. Use the Pro Action Replay (PAR) code FF0217:0E to see it during the game's demo mode, or select Smoke from the above menu's Bio Screen option.
More interestingly, the string "- MOTARO -" appears with the rest of the bio text! Like with Smoke, he doesn't have an actual bio. Unfortunately, since Motaro doesn't have a Versus picture, the game will crash before this text can be displayed.

Ending Text#
The last line from the game's ending is never actually seen in-game. This doesn't appear in the arcade version either. Ending text is at 0x0478E2:
SHAO KAHN IS NO MORE
YOU ARE THE MK3
CHAMPION
YOU DONT SUCK
Game Info Text#
At 0x05829C:
MORTAL KOMBAT 3
ARCADE REVISION 3
BEWARE OF JERROD AND THE DEVIL CHONKA
Kombat Kodes#
Starting at 0x0117E4:
PLAYER 1 HP DISABLED
PLAYER 1 LP DISABLED
PLAYER 1 BLOCK DISABLED
PLAYER 1 HK DISABLED
PLAYER 1 LK DISABLED
PLAYER 1 RUN DISABLED
PLAYER 2 HP DISABLED
PLAYER 2 LP DISABLED
PLAYER 2 BLOCK DISABLED
PLAYER 2 HK DISABLED
PLAYER 2 LK DISABLED
PLAYER 2 RUN DISABLED
This is the last chunk of Kombat Kode text in the ROM. There doesn't appear to be a way to trigger any of these.
Other Unused Text#
MIKE, LISA, PRUDENCE, JOYCIE, FELICITY
NO NAME WINS
DOUBLE FLAWLESS
KOMBAT ZONE: GRAVEYARD
Graveyard- leftover from early prototypes, like sound slots 073-075, which once contained music for this stage, like in this prototype.
