Mortal Kombat: Special Forces is attempt number two at an action adventure spin-off of the series that tackles the backstory of one of its beloved Kombatants.
Development was infamously troubled and even resulted in franchise co-creator John Tobias leaving Midway. Many planned elements were eventually gutted to allow the game to release, most notably the inclusion of Sonya Blade as an additional playable character.
