Eddie |
Are you on drugs or something? Get out of my office. |
000e3e8e |
Player |
Primm is desperate for rule of law. If it's Meyers, it won't be the NCR. |
|
Eddie |
Say, I get what you're saying... |
000e3e8f |
Eddie |
It's a deal. Tell Meyers he can have the town, and we won't raid that far south. In turn, he keeps us informed of any NCR troops headed our way. |

Meyers#
Additional dialogue exists for Meyers that accommodates for an unused portion of the "My Kind of Town" quest where the player would need to convince Eddie to exclude the town from his raiding.

Oh yeah? Then don't waste my time building up my hopes for a future better than what I can get around here. |

Keying on Meyers' experience, the player asks him to sheriff Primm |
|
Meyers |
So I've heard. I doubt they'd welcome an ex con as their law man, though. I'd consider it if you'd give me a hand with something. |

Keying on Meyers' experience, the player asks him to sheriff Primm |

Meyers |
So I've heard, and I'm still a former sheriff. You still interested in having me bring some law down there? |
000E3E89 |
Player |
The PC tells Meyers to become sheriff. |
|
Meyers |
Being a lawman sounds a hell of a lot better to me than sitting around here, waiting for the NCR to round us up. |
0009A21F |
Meyers |
Alright, I'll round up some folks I trust and make for the town. Thanks for the tip. |

Well, I think that Eddie is going to be a problem. If I take over as Sheriff in your little town, I don't want his people causing me any trouble. |

Get rid of Eddie, or convince him to have his people leave me alone down there and I'll take your sheriff job. |

Hayes#
Some unused dialogue for Lt. Hayes, here he makes references to cut functionality from the quest "My Kind Of Town". He also provides additional background information on the NCR in general. Also worth noting is that Hayes is more gruff and impatient in this build, compared to his comparatively calm demeanour in the final.
General dialogue for Hayes, the line "At last count, we had over 700,000 productive, literate citizens." is unusual as this was the count given in Fallout 2, set 40 years prior.

So where were they headed? |
|
Hayes |
The NCR is the greatest nation on Earth, that's what it is. At last count, we had over 700,000 productive, literate citizens. |
00099CE3 |
Hayes |
But for every trooper who gets to fight the Legion in the East, there's one who's got to watch over a goddamn backwater like this. |
00099CE3 |
Hayes |
Sometimes I just can't help but get tired of dealing with barbarians. |
00099CE3 |
Hayes |
You probably don't know how to count that high, but 700,000 is a lot. We've got the strongest army on Earth. |
00099CE3 |
Here he describes the cut portion of the quest that would've seen the player obtain the residents signatures as consent for the NCR to police the town:

Barter Option - Running Primm could earn some money for the NCR. |
|
Hayes |
Right now Primm can't rub two caps together. But I guess you're right. Once we lock it down, the economy can make a rebound. |
00099CFD |
Hayes |
I'd need a formal letter of enfranchisement, signed by half or more of Primm's residents. I'll give you a copy. |
00099CFD |
Hayes |
If you can get the signatures, I'll guarantee the safety of Primm's citizens. If they won't sign, tell them to keep enjoying their freedom. |

What are you talking about? Primm is a ghost town, it sure as hell isn't worth taking a bullet for. |
000E5292 |
Player |
Int Option - Primm is a good strategic point. |
|
Hayes |
It's a natural stopping point along the I-15 for travelers and caravans. It all depends on if they're ready to handle themselves. |

The town's position along I-15 has some value, sure. But this camp is right along I-15 too, moron. |
000E5290 |

Here's the formal letter, with all necessary signatures. |

Primm's lucky you talked some sense into them. I'll order Sergeant McGee to bring his squad into town, and establish order. |

I rescued Primm's deputy, but the town's still lawless. |

Primm's new sheriff is dead. The town needs your help. |
