Taz-Mania (Game Gear)

One of the many games based on the cartoon of the same name, and other platformer (Well... sorta. Only a few levels (the last three, mainly) are proper platforming affairs).

This particular one is widely considered to be the worst of the lot, revered mainly for its absurd difficulty right off the bat, and baffling design choices throughout. However, it's probably most infamous for its frankly horrific, beepy soundtrack. Want a sample? No? Well you're getting one anyways!

Cheat Menu#

This needs some investigation. Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page. Specifically: See if there's a button code for this. See if there's a way to get the CURE option to work.

Pause the game, set RAM address DFEA to 02 and press Start. The cheat menu pictured above will appear.

• CURE: Would presumably heal Taz's health, but it doesn't seem to work.
• SOU: Sound Test. Press Start to cycle through the game's music and sound effects.
• LEVEL UP: Skip to the next section of the current level.
• LEVEL 3-7: Jump to the corresponding level. Oddly, there are no options for levels 1, 2, 8, and 9.
• OVER: Skip to the credits.
