Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX is a compilation that combines the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX (I Final Mix and Re:Chain of Memories) and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX (II Final Mix and Birth by Sleep Final Mix) collections into one, alongside bumping the resolution to 1080p/4K, and the frame rate to 60fps. Also included are two movie adaptations of the DS games: 358/2 Days and Re:coded.
As most of the unused content from those games remain, this page will only cover content unique to this port.

Worlds#
Disney Castle
Inside \Image\en\kh1_first.pkg\remastered\dc.wdt is a PNG file with speech bubbles and Xbox button graphics in red with the kanji "旧" ("old") written over them. Due to this world being cutscene-only, none of these graphics ever get used.

PS2 Splash Screen Remnants#
Inside "\Image\dt\kh2_first\remastered\menu\fm\title.2ld" are remnants of the splash screens from the original PS2 version of Kingdom Hearts II, though they appear to have been upscaled. These include:
- The Buena Vista Games logo
- An older copyright notice that features an unused Disney Interactive logo, alongside a mention of Touchstone Pictures (due to The Nightmare Before Christmas still being under that label at the time of the original game's release)
These go unused in favor of updated splash screens, respectively using the Disney Interactive Studios logo (PS4) or a standard Disney logo (Xbox One onwards), and an updated copyright notice.
Debug Files#
In the /dbg/ folder, bonuslevel.dbg and worldflag.dbg can be found. These files have a list of the events that trigger bonus levels and world-to-world progression, respectively.

Platform Differences#
- The original Nintendo Switch version, as with the rest of the pre-2026 Kingdom Hearts ports barring Melody of Memory, was done via cloud streaming rather than being a native port.
- However, the Switch 2 versions, as well as the native version of this collection, run natively on the Switch/Switch 2, with Square Enix delisting, and shutting down the servers (as of June 9, 2027) for the cloud versions.
- The Steam release of the PC version has several textures that were AI-upscaled, which would later be backported to the Epic Games release.
- The game renders at 1080p on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series S, and 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X and Xbox Series X. The PC version allows the user to select any resolution in the game's options menu.
- While all console versions run at a locked 60fps, the PC version has options for 30fps, 90fps, 120fps, and unlocked frame rates.
- This causes a bug in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, where it reverts to 60fps after activating a Trinity Mark, though exiting the room fixes this.
- The Xbox One version has a "Screen Options" button in the main menu, which isn't present in the other versions.
- Starting with the Xbox One version, the Disney Interactive Studios logo was replaced with a standard Disney logo (though the former is still retained in the credits for all games), and Kingdom Hearts Final Mix's opening FMV cutscene can now be skipped.
- Also starting with this version, all of the theater DLC for Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and 358/2 Days are now included by default due to releasing later than the PlayStation 4 version.
- On the PC version, accessing the options menu is done by pressing the Escape key on the keyboard for the Epic Games release. The Steam release changes this so it can also be accessed with the left face button on a controller. The Switch version has it mapped to the Minus button.
- As with 2.8 and III, an option was added to the PC version that allows the player to use either the PlayStation, Xbox or generic button prompts. Due to this, they appear differently than on the other versions (being fully-colored rather than grayscale in the command menu/deck in I Final Mix and Birth by Sleep Final Mix, for example).
- Despite this, the tutorial images in Re:Chain of Memories, II Final Mix and Birth by Sleep Final Mix all still display the Xbox button prompts regardless of which is selected.
