Speedy Gonzales in Los Gatos Bandidos

This page details one or more prototype versions of Speedy Gonzales in Los Gatos Bandidos.

This prototype is documented on Hidden Palace.

A prototype of the unreleased PAL version of Speedy Gonzales in Los Gatos Bandidos, with a date of February 2, 1995 and with an "04" label, originated from a tester for Unsaco (now Bergsala), the official distributor for Nintendo games and merchandise in Norway. The prototype would later be purchased from an eBay auction from seller "jossan" in September 2016 and dumped by Evan G, who released the ROM on SNES Central on January 7, 2017.

The changes made in this localization prototype are relatively minor outside of binary changes, compared to the revision 1.0 of the American release.

Differences#

The title screen music was completely changed, with "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down" (the theme for Looney Tunes) having been replaced with "Merrily We Roll Along" (the theme for Merrie Melodies). While the two series are effectively interchangeable, Speedy Gonzales debuted in a Merrie Melodies short, which might explain this change.

Aside from the obvious change in the song's title theme and its credits, some additional spaces in the copyright screen's first two paragraphs were added.
