Aspiration Increase/Decrease Graphics#
The following graphics depict the Aspiration increasing or decreasing above Sims' heads with a plus or minus symbol, where many of them go unused due to the "Aspiration Chest" with numbers, being used instead in order to keep easier track of the Aspiration Points. Though the "double plus" graphics are used in gameplay when Sims are visited via the Therapist and have their Aspiration restored. On a similar note, those graphics were used in the E3 2004 build of the game.
The only Aspiration with an unused double plus symbol equivalent is the Grow Up Aspiration, because Toddler or Child Sims never get visited by the Therapist.

Most of these icons appear in-game as part of the Toys interest or as plot elements in the novel-writing feature, but five are not present in the game. The missing icons are the fishbowl, bubbles, open book, math problem, and the globe. They are all actually colorized interest icons for children from The Sims! Since TS1 icons in a similar style are shown in a few beta images, we can assume the speech bubbles were originally all like that. |
