Paper Airplane Chase

Paper Airplane Chase is a standalone version of the "Paper Plane" minigame from WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, released as a launch title for the Nintendo DSi. Not a very exciting launch lineup, but it's something.

An early test placeholder of the menu screens.

From the early Spanish menu in the American and European version, the Race button was called Dos jugado instead of Dos jugadores with the white outline from the letter o being noticeably slightly cut off.

From the early Italian menu in the European version, the Race button was called Caduta instead of Caduta libera, and the Race button was left unfinished as たいせん instead of Sfida un amico with the white outline from the top being noticeably slightly cut off.

The buttons at the bottom are also completely blank.

Only in the Japanese version, there's an unused old variant of the Countdown sprites for the Race mode.

Unused Sounds#

TWL_PLANE_SE_BOMB_LANDING

TWL_PLANE_SE_BOMB_SHOT Two sound effects for landing your plane and getting your plane shot from a starting position. Neither of these happen in-game.

TWL_PLANE_SE_wario_Select_1

TWL_PLANE_SE_wario_Select_2

TWL_PLANE_SE_wario_Select_3 Even though this is a minigame previously included in WarioWare Inc., Wario is never seen or heard in the actual game. In fact, the .sdat file completely removed Wario's voice for this game, but Pyoro (another unlockable minigame in WarioWare Inc.) also got onto the DSi Shop and share near-identical .sdat files with a few changes.

iQue Region Locking#

The Chinese version has an "Only for iQue DS" graphic.

This is odd, because there was no way to install Chinese DSiWare on a non-iQue DSi, as the DSi Shop was region-locked. The only way to display this screen is by installing the game on a modified or devconsole DSi or 3DS from any other region.

Future iQue DSiWare didn't implement this screen.
