Disney Meteos

Disney Meteos is a very obscure mobile entry on the puzzler franchise, themed after the Disney Cuties franchise and being partially based on the Meteos: Disney Magic spin-off. It was released as a pre-installed app in Disney Mobile's DM001SH feature phone, alongside Disney's Brain POP.

Meteo Names#

The package story_base.dat contains graphical and text data for the icons for each of the game's story campaigns/themes (Mickey & Minnie, Lilo & Stitch, and Marie). Within this text data are strings for each of the associated Meteo types, which are never displayed. Images of the Meteos will be displayed for reference; notably, the order for the Lilo & Stitch blocks is not correct.

Dummy Strings#

Extracted from elseParam.dat are the parameter (param_*.dat) and description (base_*.dat) files for the VS CPU, Challenge and Practice modes. Each of the description files contain dummy strings, which likely refer to each of the Meteo types, given they follow the same structure as the names in story_base.dat.

Backup File#

The package png_menu.dat, which contains graphical and animation data for the game's menus, also contains the file img.BAK, which is an earlier version of the text file which defines the images in the package, img.txt. When compared to the final version, there's a reference to a file that has since been deleted, icon_move.png, with the file that takes its place in the used version, goweb_no.png, being placed at the end of the list.
