Unused or Unobtainable Cosmetic Items

This is a sub-page of Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk has a lot of unused or unobtainable cosmetic items that were cut, hidden, or never made available to players in the final game.

To do:
The game has A LOT of cosmetic items that only show up during missions and disappear once you complete them. They’re not unused, but since you can’t access them normally, they should still be listed here.

Unused Cosmetics#

Unused character outfits that were cut from the final game and can only be obtained through console commands.

"SEMURAI" Jacket#

A cheap, knock-off version of the iconic Samurai Jacket. It features a CrystalJock logo on the left side chest and a large illustration of a woman on the back. It's identical to the "SEMURAI crystaljock bomber" item, which can be obtained in Villefort Columbus, during the side job Small Man, Big Mouth. (Streetkid Lifepath); The only differences are that the Male and Female item icons are swapped, and the description was slightly updated, with the bootleg names being changed from Johmmy Silverhonk to "Jimmy Silverham", and Kenny Eurodime to "Kenny Eurodollar". Peralez campaign shirt#

It is a basic, white shirt with Jefferson Peralez's Night City mayoral campaign logo stencilled on it. Its item ID is shared with the mission "I Fought the Law", in which V meets Jefferson and Elizabeth Peralez to discuss the death of former mayor Lucius Rhyne. It's possible that at some point, Peralez may have originally been intended to give V merchandise from his electoral campaign during the conversation.

  • They can also be seen in his apartment during the side mission "Dream On", though they cannot be interacted with or collected.

Cosmetics tied to "The Hunt"#

The BAD MOTHERFUCKER is a heavily padded leather vest with Wraiths decals; and the Kang Tao (康陶) lab suit is a yellow hazardous protection body vest that belongs to the titular Chinese weapons manufacturer. Thanks to their item codes, we're able to determine that these items originally belonged, and were tied to the River Ward side-mission "The Hunt", where you must investigate the serial killer Anthony Harris, also known as "Peter Pan".

  • It can be concluded that the B.M vest was somehow connected to the Wraiths camp encountered in the same mission, as its item ID directly references the faction. This suggests that, during development, the Poppy Farm may have played a larger role in the mission's plot but was ultimately cut, becoming instead an optional location that the player visits only if they fail to find the correct destination. The purpose of the Kang Tao lab suit is unknown.
  • Interestingly, both the vest and lab suit are marked as quest items, meaning they cannot be dropped or scrapped once added to the player's inventory.
  • The Kang Tao suit is the only one referred to as a "lab" suit; all other variations are labeled as "hazmat" suits.

Predator Exo-Jacks#

A pair of purple and black leather boots reinforced with aramid fibers. While the game includes several boots in this style, this specific purple variant was never made available. It was meant to be given to the player by Rogue when asking for her help to raid Arasaka Tower. This is not only indicated by the item ID, but also by the name of the item itself. It was likely designed to accompany the Predator Aramid Armor as part of a set. However, since the player instead receives the Retro-thrusters rocket boots, which occupy the footwear slot, the Exo-Jacks ended up being left unused. Female and Male variants

Unobtainable Cosmetics#

Outfits that were used in the final game, but for one reason or another weren't made available, and can only be obtained through console commands.

Cosmetics tied to Joshua Stephenson#

Joshua Stepherson is the central figure behind the Sinnerman quest line, a convicted gunman who became a celebrity after finding his "path to redemption". His side missions includes 3 cosmetics that were never implemented or made accessible:

  • A Fourth Wall Studios set consisting of dark leather pants and a shirt, with an additional "X" detail for female V. Although not technically unused, this outfit is inaccessible without the use of console commands, as it cannot be kept after the mission ends. The set temporarily replaces the player’s current clothing but is removed and disappears from your inventory once the mission is completed.
    • Just like with the set mentioned previously, both items are marked as quest items, meaning they cannot be dropped or scrapped once added to the player's inventory.

  • The prison jumpsuit worn by Joshua, while possibly intended only as a debug item, at some point was likely considered for the player since it includes a female variant for female V and has its own description. It has no armor, mod slots, or weight. Although it can be worn with Outer Torso and Feet gear, those will stop providing bonuses when equipped. This shows that although some effort was put into it, the item was never fully finished.

Cosmetics tied to "The Heist"#

At the start of the mission, before heading to Konpeki Plaza, the player is required to wear a Militech suit provided by T-Bug. Partway through the heist, after crashing and falling through a roof, the game swaps the pristine suit for a “Dirty” variant, a more rugged and, as the name suggests, dirtier version of the suit. Later, after being shot by Dex DeShawn and waking up in the landfill, the dirty suit is replaced with the “Ruined” version, which is nearly identical, the only difference being that the suit jacket has been removed. This outfit is worn until you reach Viktor’s clinic with Takemura, at which point it is replaced one final time with the bandage wraps, which is the only piece from this sequence the player actually gets to keep.
