Demo videos#

Quite a few videos belonging to a press demo of the DLC can be found in the files.

demo_transition_tier_1.bk2#

A video that seems to have played when the player was granted access to a "tier 1" extended demo.

intro_demo_pre7_holocall_en.bk2#

A video used to introduce the player to the story of Phantom Liberty, and replicates UI elements on the screen at relevant points while Songbird is talking.

intro_pl_demo_pre5_dogtown.bk2#

A video used to introduce the player to the story of Phantom Liberty, but different to the previous one in that it shows some shots of Dogtown while Songbird is talking to V but doesn't try to replicate the UI of the game.

intro_pl_demo_pre2_d.bk2#

To do:
Compare this video to the final trailer.

A video that contains some scenes from both the teaser and the first trailer for Phantom Liberty. The scenes cut from the trailer are from a work in progress version and contains some differences from the final trailer.

Phantom Liberty ships with a couple of early revisions of the graphical layers used for the in-game Lizzy Wizzy performance.

cdp_concert_960p.bk2#

Watch on YouTube

This video is likely the oldest available version of the performance. The most noticeable difference is that the layers use a different color palette, using more blue and yellow colors for the effects in the different layers. This is very noticeable during the sequences with the falling swords, the spider and cob webs, which use more yellow layers in this version. The sequence with the diamonds is different, where in this version there are hundreds of diamonds that eventually slowly spin around the performer. The visual effects during the ending uses less wide effects that surrounds the performer more in this version.

concert_test_video.bk2#

Watch on YouTube

This video is more similar to the final version, but still contains quite a few differences. The video overall uses a more dark purple color palette. The sequence with the barking dog contains a cut effect where saliva drips from the mouth of the dog. When the camera moves closer to the dog's brain, it shows the side of it and doesn't go inside the brain which it does in the final version. The spider in the cob web sequence is yellow in this version. The ending is more similar to the previous unused version.

concert_test_plate.bk2#

A video that was possibly used to visualize in-game the different layers of the visuals in the early prototyping work of the Lizzy Wizzy performance. Note that the elements shown are transparent, and that the background of the video technically isn't black but transparent.

Unused Characters#

Just like in the base game, the voicetaglist.voicetags file contains some references to characters that are not featured in the final version of the DLC, which are listed below.

The characters ari, elif, hawkins, isiah, mac and mullins still have some generic holocall files in the game archives, that unfortunately doesn't give any information about the contents of the calls. Elif and Sonia also have leftover meshes in the game archives. The file belonging to Elif is tagged with sts_ep1_04, which is the identifier of the gig Prototype in the Scraper. The one that belongs to Sonia is tagged with sts_ep1_02, which is the identifier of a cut gig.

Caden has an unused scanning entry that would show the aforementioned name. This entry is tagged with sts_ep1_13, which is the identifier of the gig Talent Academy. The name Elif is mentioned in an email that belongs to the gig Prototype in the Scraper, but it's unclear if the name is related to the entry in the .voicetags file.
