Unused Car Brands#

Within ui_emblems.tga in version 1.7.4, an unused SSC logo can be seen, hinting at the SSC Tuatara being planned for the game. Other manufacturers are listed in this version as text include Scion and Audi.

Unused Cars#

In libraries.blibclara (located within the levels folder inside the apk file), 3 unused update cars are mentioned via text that never made it into Asphalt. The file also includes a list of cars that were originally all supposed to be part of the final game but were cut months before the game was released. Among these cars, the following were unused:

• Audi S4 (collision,models and texture) (found in version 1.0.0c)
• Scion FRS (due to Scion being shut down by Toyota)
• SSC Tuatara (only textures, code, collision and logo)

Unused Animations#

In the anims folder (located within data01.zip inside the apk file), 1 unused animation is present that never made it into the game. The file also includes a name "prop_silvergate_chevorlet" that was originally supposed to be part of the final game but was cut months before the game was released.

Unused Tokyo Track#

In libraries.blibclara (located within the levels folder inside the apk file), Tokyo track was mentioned via text that never made it into the game. The file also includes a clue of the Tokyo track ('tokyo.default") that was originally supposed to be part of the final game but was cut a year before the game was released.

Removed Music#

This music was removed from the game.

• Original BGM (from and till 1.0.0c)
• Verseless - Adrenaline (Tri Cup)
• Verseless - Pursuit (Tri Cup)
• Verseless - Drft (Tri Cup)
• Verseless- In Pursuit (Tri Cup)
• Verseless - Night In The City (Tri Cup)

Revisional Differences#

• 1.0.0c: first version less cars audi S4 models, textures and collisions
• 1.0.0e: old bgm race music removed, replaced by rock and electro music
• Tri Cup version: added 4 new music tracks. After the tri cup the special event music was removed
• Middle versions (after tri cup - 1.8.0) audi s4 models and textures were removed had 54 cars at its peak
• Last version (2.0.0b) Audi S4 models and textures were added again and many cars were removed
