Although none of the four canceled versions were ever released, we do have some prototypes that show numerous interesting changes made during the development of the final version. Two of these prototypes are demos that were given away with other purchases, while others were distributed to the press.
In addition to the changes and differences, these prototypes also include the debug menu used by the developers.

Preview Disc (US)Released in December 2004, this demo was given to players as a gift when they pre-ordered the game.
2004-04-13 Buildit closely resembles the USA trial. However, it includes most of the missing files, enabling functionality for various elements such as weapons, items, treasures, enemies, and the debug menu
Trial Edition (Japan)Released in Japan in September 2004. Although it came out before the Preview Disc, it is from a much later version of the game.
