This page sucks.
If you could make it suck less, that would be awesome.
Specifically: A very good game got the shaft here - terribly-named images, no real explanations, no mention of where these images are in the files or what platforms/versions were checked...

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is the series' return to its survival horror roots after the criticism Capcom received for Resident Evil 6. Luckily, it turned out to be a smashing success.

Unused Graphics#

Unused HUD Elements#

Various unused images found in the UI textures.

A loading screen likely to be used for Mia's flashback tape. In the final game the loading screen for the wrecked ship is reused in the flashback.

Various unused inventory item sprites. The first 2 sprites seem to be left and right parts of a jaw and the third seems to be a complete lower jaw, perhaps the items combined. These were amongst various sprites for Lucas' Happy Birthday puzzle so could have been used in an early version of it. The next 3 sprites seem to show a key in 2 parts that is then merged together. The last sprite shows a lit flare.

Some unused crafting sprites showing a bag, corrosive and a pink chem fluid. Could mean that corrosives were originally going to be craftable.

An unused weapon icon, seemingly showing a shortened double-barrel shotgun that somehow holds 4 shells.

Abandoned House References#

Some photos taken in an abandoned house, likely used as reference for the game's setting.

What looks to be an elevator shaft, possibly used as reference for the entrance to the salt mines.

Liquid medicine, most likely used as a reference for chem fluid.

Regional Differences#

To do:

  • Re-Capture In-Game Recordings. Frame drops can be seen.
  • Add the Japanese and the Grotesque Version

In Japan, the game was heavily censored to comply with CERO, the country's video game rating board. Capcom released two versions of the game; the normal D-rated version, along with the less-but-still-censored "Grotesque Version" which is rated Z.
