Unused Player variables
in_water
0
There is no code that uses this variable. Its purpose is unknown, but by name, it is possible that this variable could be activated when the player is in the water.
barrel
0
Activates when the player uses an unused barrel transformation.
a
0
It is unknown what the purpose of this variable was, but if the player defeats Pepperman (who is unused in this build), the variable is set to 0. However, nothing happens because it always equals 0 anyway.
shoot
1
Activates when the player uses an pistol or shotgun.
Unused Camera variables
Variable |
Default Value |
Description |
|---|---|---|
n |
0 |
There is no code that uses this variable. Its purpose is unknown, but it could have been used to test the player's vertical speed and states in early development. |
angle |
0 |
It was used to change the camera angle, as seen in early Tumblr videos. |
frame |
0 |
Its purpose is unknown, but it could have been used for the unused Pizza Meter mechanic to select which sprite frame to display. |
global.pizzameter |
0 |
The purpose of this was to show the player how many collects they needed to gather to get a full pizza. It was used in an old mechanic where the player had a limited amount of time in level to feed a hungry pillar with enough pizzas to stop the timer. |
global.pizza |
0 |
The purpose is to show how many pizzas the player has. |
zoom |
0 |
The purpose is unknown due to a complete lack of videos or previews showing how it works; however, if the player is not freefalling or superslamming, the zoom variable equals 0. |
Unused Key variables
Variable |
Default Value |
Description |
|---|---|---|
inv_frame |
0 |
The purpose is to make the key slightly transparent, as seen in most of the Tumblr previews where the player can lose the key. |
Unused key logic#
The key has an interesting unused part in its creation code: if global.key_inv == 1, it is supposed to jump and randomly move left or right at a random speed (from -4 to 4). However, this code never executes because later in the code, the key destroys itself if global.key_inv == 1.
