Version 1#
The initial build, released on July 15th, 2018.
- Peppino has a unique run button mapped to Shift.
- Holding Shift while standing makes Peppino start running in place. In the final game, this animation is re-used as his idle animation when pizza time is engaged.
- Both pedestals of which the Knight transformation sits on acts as strictly a solid platform, rather than a semi-solid. This creates an easy softlock should the player walk off the wrong side of the pedestal.
- Bomb Peppino explodes after hitting four walls instead of three.
- The pause menu has yet to be implemented, and pressing Escape automatically resets the game.
- Peppino automatically enters the exit door if he is in front of it at ground level. While not necessarily a softlock, it does make it more difficult to go for Lap 2.
- Enemies don't teleport back to their spawn point if they're hit out of bounds.
Version 2#
Released on July 16th, 2018, containing bugfixes and adjustments in response to feedback.
- The run button was removed, likely due to it being inferior to the regular dash.
- The color of Weenies has been corrected to brown.
- Collision was removed from the Knight transformation pedestal for easier navigation and to avoid softlocking.
- The automatic trigger has been removed from the exit gate, allowing the player to do Lap 2 much easier.

Version 2 |

|
- The hidden pizza in the first corridor was more hidden and precise to get.
- After dropping down, there would be a ladder to the platform above. The ladder was replaced by a platform that required a high jump to land on, alongside the addition of signs that explained how to make it.

Version 2 |

- In the room with the Cheese Toppin, the hidden tunnel above the main tunnel was made two blocks taller.
- A narrow path of breakable blocks was added underneath the steps to the Toppin for easier navigation. It is indicated by one breakable block on each side and can only be entered while rolling.

- In the room that introduces Pizza Box Goblins, the layout was modified to more easily guide Peppino to metal blocks when picking up a bomb.
- A tower map graphic was added, showing the player where they currently are.
Version 21#
Also released on July 16th, this revision is currently lost. The only known change is that it fixes a bug in which the player could repeatedly build up speed by turning around.
Version 211#
Another revision released on July 16th. The only known change is that Peppino's skateboarding speed now depends on the speed at which he was running before stepping on it. The skateboard, however, always has a higher speed than Peppino, which results in it leaving without him. This change was reverted by the next revision.
The Peter Griffin Experience#
Released on July 21st, 2018, via the Pizza Tower Discord's #speedrunning channel, "The Peter Griffin Experience" is a joke revision that replaces "Theatrical Shenanigans" with "Family Guy Cool Whip (OFFICIAL Remix Maniacs TRAP REMIX)" and alters Peppino's code so that he uses a singular sprite, "petah", in lieu of every regular player sprite.

In case it wasn't obvious, "petah" is merely a static image of promotional art of Peter Griffin from Family Guy downsized and edited to look like Peppino. The change was achieved by an alteration to Peppino's draw code; changing "petah, 0" to "sprite_index, image_index" will turn Peppino's sprites back to normal. The "petah" sprite was only ever used here, though it remained in the game's files, even in the final release.
Besides the obvious meme changes, this is the last known revision of the Early Test Build and contains several tweaks and improvements.
- The level has seen an influx of additional decorations and flair to its visual appearance.
- Pressing Down or Z before hitting the ground from a long-enough fall will make Peppino do a handstand and do a high jump, instead of slamming his face on the ground.
- The arrangement of blocks around the second door has had its big blocks removed, so that if the player were to get trapped there, they can climb out instead of being softlocked.
- The bonus 200 points that appear during Lap 2 are placed outside and near the treasure door, instead of inside the treasure room itself.
- However, the bonus points inside the treasure room are still present, and can be seen if the player bypasses the bonus points that are outside the door. If the player collects those bonus points, and then collects the bonus points this build expects the player to collect after, that allows the player to collect a maximum of 3,200 points.
