This is a sub-page of Yo-kai Watch (Nintendo 3DS).
Whether it may or may not have been the work of a Yo-kai, a few subtle mistakes were made in the development of this spiritual title.
Leftover Japanese Text & Names#
Despite going through the trouble to scrub every piece of Japanese text and names away for localization, there's leftovers on stuff that is hard to notice in all international versions;
Ramune Bottle#
During the cutscene where Nate, Katie, Bear and Eddie watch the fireworks from the roof, Whisper can be seen drinking a bottle of ramune, as evidenced by Japanese text (ラムネ) that accidentally left over on the bottle texture.

Sakura Bus#
Though hard to notice, the model for the bus (d013000.xc) that can be seen in the street bordering Uptown Springdale and Downtown Springdale, and the cutscene where Whisper shows the protagonist Yo-kai happenings in the areas has leftover text saying "SAKURA BUS" on the sides and back, along with Japanese text on the top front.

In later ports, the text is more readable in it's cutscene appearance, due to the higher resolutions.
Springs Girl#
The talk portrait for the Hot Springs NPC actually has leftover Japanese さ wording on it, even though the rest of it is covered up by the dialog box. The full texture reads さくら (Sakura).

Additionally, her model shows that the text says Sakura Iron Baths (さくら鉄湯 sakura tetsuyu), whereas the location in Japanese actually called Sakura no Yu (さくらの湯) in the final. It's very hard to make out due to the 3DS's low resolution.
Protect The Seals! Cutscene Inconsistency#
Exclusively in the American, European and Australian version of the intro during the cutscene montage, one of them shows Venoct protecting Nate against Slimamander during the chapter Protect The Seals!, but it takes place on a clear day compared to always being scripted to be cloudy and rainy in the game itself. The same oversight can be seen in the Korean trailer.
Rolling Waves Park Name Error#
When "The Time Capsule" Request is started, the girl mentions that the time capsule is buried at a place called "Shiokaze Park" (しおかぜ公園) in the Japanese version, but the location is actually called "Sazanami Park" (さざなみ公園), which is Rolling Waves Park in the English localization. It's unknown if it was an earlier name for the location (hence sharing a name with a real-life location) or a mix-up with the Japanese name of Seabreeze Tunnel, called "Shiokaze Tunnel" (しおかぜトンネル).
Though the error wasn't fixed in a later patch, nor the Nintendo Switch or iOS/Android port, it was corrected in the English localization.

Komiger's Miscolored Muzzle#
Komiger's in-game model lacks a white muzzle, paling in comparison to his Yo-kai Medallium and Yo-kai Friends icon along with his official artwork. This error was later fixed in later games starting with Yo-kai Watch Blasters, but it strangely remained in later ports.
This is likely an earlier design leftover from the game's development, due to official certain artwork of its pre-evolution Komajiro lacking that detail, and a not-so known fact that Level-5 sometimes provides early resources for game and media development.

Minimap Color Inconsistency#
The Minimap for Infinite Inferno 4th Circle (t103d44.xi) uses a lighter shade of purple (#8E6D9E) compared to other minimaps (#865486) for some reason.

Overworld Minimap Errors#
The minimaps that are seen beyond the border of specific districts don't line up with their finalized equivalents, and contain early layout changes and/or leftovers, some of which are usually seen out of view.
Hidden details will not be covered in the Oddities section. Also, the Nighttime and Terror Time minimaps have exactly the same differences, so they won't be covered here to avoid repetition.

- The Candy Stop sign was red rather than blue; the sign itself has the parody branding of Coca-Cola and was likely changed to avoid any copyright problems.
- The apartment complex near the bicycle shop didn't have its pavement mapped.

- The Nocturne Hospital originally had a red cross on top of the minimap icon. This was removed for obvious reasons regarding the trademarked symbol. It can be seen in the concept art.
- A sort of dock-like landmass can be seen at the bottom.
