WWE 2K18 is the 2017 installment in the WWE 2K series. It is said to be considered a reboot of the game franchise but now you can have eight fighters in the ring for the first time since SmackDown!: Just Bring It alongside a retooled Royal Rumble mode.

It's the first WWE 2K game to have free-roam in the MyCareer mode, along with it now having loot boxes for some reason.

It was also the only WWE 2K game to be released on the Nintendo Switch, though it was rough at launch and Blind Squirrel Games would later regret developing the port. Thanks to the power of the Nintendo Switch 2, the game is now fully playable without issues, and now the series is back on Nintendo platforms with the release of WWE 2K25 for Switch 2.
