This is a sub-page of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
A large amount of the game's internal files and names are filled with abbreviations and alternate names. They range from references to earlier scenarios throughout development to simple naming schemes for types of files.

Dungeons/Temples#
Most dungeons had the internal name of "xxxdan", dan being short for the katakana for "dungeon", before they were individualized. This began with the earliest (test?) dungeon in the leaked files/overdump, known as "fstdan" for "first dungeon". Dungeons later split into two categories: dungeons and temples (神殿 shinden, usually shortened to "xxxsin"), probably when the Spiritual Stones/Sages' Medallions were introduced into the scenario and the plot was further developed.

The Bottom of the Well is a child-only sub-section of the Shadow Temple area, accessible only as Young Link. The "CH" suffix stands for "child", distinguishing it from the adult Shadow Temple (HAKAdan). Both share the same graveyard theming of their parent filename. Although in some areas with Like Like, Deku Shield objects are carried in these rooms, for some strange reason it makes us think that Bottom of the Well and Shadow Temple were somehow the same Dungeon.
