Puyo Puyo 7 (Nintendo DS)

Puyo Puyo 7 gives the series another soft reboot, introducing a new setting (the more down-to-earth Suzuran), a new trio of protagonists (the intelligent but eccentric Ringo Ando, fashionable kendama player Maguro Sasaki, and half-bear half-squirrel love connoisseur Risukuma), a new gimmick mode (Transformation, which is similar to Fever but the Puyos may increase or decrease in size on activation), and a new antagonist (Arle but possessed).

Anti-Piracy#

This game utilizes the DS Protect anti-piracy library to ensure that it is not being run off a flashcart or emulator. If any of the DS Protect checks fail, the game intentionally hangs upon any screen transition.
