Unused MapsWhile it appears Bomb Defusal is the only game mode, that's not the case.

Weapon Prices#
Namco modified the prices of some weapons when compared to the original. In addition, both NEO and CSF can choose to purchase helmets or Kevlar separately. They even standardized the pricing for ammunition, primary ammo is always priced at 150$, and secondary ammo is always 100$.

Unused Game Modes#
要人护送 (Assassination Mode)#
While only the “Bomb Defusal” mode is available in CSNEO, there is actually an Assassination Mode map called “e17(旧实验栋) (Old Laboratory)” in the game files, which uses a unique scientist model for its VIP model. Playing much like the classic Counter-Strike 1.6 assassination mode, the CSF Spawn Zone is located on the upper level while the NEO Spawn Zone is located on the lower level, and the goal of both sides is to find a way to compete for control of the station near the VIP Escape Zone so that they are able to take control of nearby mines in order to intercept the VIP or to prevent him from being intercepted. In addition, the CSF can also throw grenades on the second floor to thwart NEO units on the first floor or intercept VIP.

キャプチャー・ザ・フラッグ(Capture the Flags)#
In the game files, there is an unused map for the “Capture the Flag” mode. It provides a map called “e06(フラグマップ01)(Flag Map 01)”, where CSF and NEO spawn in each other's buildings, and both factions are not allowed to buy weapons, instead, they jump into some pits with a corresponding weapon icon to get the corresponding weapon, and the goal is to enter the flag base of the other base and raise the other's flag through the valves, whoever's flag is raised first, the other faction wins. The map plays more like “control the stronghold” than classic “capture the flag”, except that there are disposable mine switches in the flag buildings that can be used. Also, both factions have projections of each other's factions “GIGN (CSNEO Ver)” (from NEO) and “Phoneix Connection (CSNEO Ver) (from CSF)” in their buildings, which always play the default empty-handed models whenever they are played.
ショットガン コロセウム(Shotguns Fightyard)#
Included in the game file is a map called “e07 (ショットガン コロセウム) (Shotgun Colosseum)”. As the name implies, both factions can only use XM1014, and the goal is to kill all members of the opposing team.
スナイパー コロセウム(Sniper Fightyard)#
Included in the game file is a map called “e08 (スナイパー コロセウム) (Sniper Colosseum)”. The same as the other colosseums, but both factions use AWP.
ランダムウェポン コロセウム (Random Weapons Fightyard)#
Included in the game file is a map called “e09 (ランダムウェポン コロセウム) (Random Weapons Colosseum)”. Ditto, but both factions use random weapons.
ランダムウェポン (Push Crates)#
Included in the game file is a map called “e11 (せり上がりキューブマップ) (Ascending Cube Map)”. It's similar to Deathmatch, but both factions' spawn areas are in opposite sides of the map, and they need to push boxes.
海戦 (Ships war)#
Included in the game file is a map called “e12 (海戦) (Sea War)”. It's a variant of Deathmatch, but there's no buy zone. Players must move around the map with the ship, and ransack armory to arm themselves and take out enemies; if anyone downed out for ship, they're dead. The map also contains several tall towers which randomly release lasers.
ナイフ コロセウム (Knife Deathmatch)#
Included in the game file is a map called “e16 (ナイフ コロセウム) (Knife Colosseum)”. It's the exact same as the three colosseums above, except that both sides can only use knives.
ラッシュ&プッシュ (Rush & Push)#
Included in the game file is a map called “e13 (ラッシュ&プッシュマップ) (Rush and Push Map)”. It's a variant of Deathmatch, but there's no buy zone, if anyone only elites and knife. In addition, each side's color has a button in their hall, that if pressed will cause the floor of their hall to break, and cause all players still standing on it to fall to their death.
フォール&ダッシュ (Deathrun)#
Included in the game file is a map called “mat_ana_vskamata1 (フォール&ダッシュマップ) (Fall and Rush Map)”. Similar to Deathrun, but CSF and NEO must jump to bottoms, and at opposing team before press the button at the end of the long hall for quorum, which will execute all members of the enemies. On top of that, the guns may have been used to disrupt or slow down the enemies' team members.
NEOブロック崩し (Sabotage)#
Included in the game file is a map called “neo_event_01 (NEOブロック崩し) (NEO Block Crumble)”. This is similar to Deathmatch, but CSF and NEO must defend their block (or cargos, that sort of thing?), and at the same time, they must also try to shoot and destroy the blocks of rival factions. Once one side's blocks are fully destroyed, the other side wins. Purchasing guns is not allowed, which implies the two factions could only combat through their designated weapons.
正月モデル (Japanese New Year for 2008)#
Included in the game file is a map called “mat_omiya_2008 (正月モデル) (New Year's Map)”.As its name suggests, this map was designed to celebrate the first month of the Japanese New Year in 2008: it contains a fair amount of traditional Japanese textures and terrain, including grenade sakisenbako and a series of special gameplay options such as Japanese draw, KZ, parkour, etc. A truce may be called between CSF and NEO in this map, and the grenades may be there simply to activate the sakisenbako in the map, but it is not certain. sure if any weapons will be issued for both sides. In addition to this, according to the physical and bulletin boards at the end of the map, there may be some sort of photo op at the end of the map, not sure if this will be an offline physical photo op at the arcade that runs CSNEO during the first month of New Year's 2008, or a photo op in the arcade itself?
This map is so large that it is extreme: it is divided into 5 regions.
The “Japanese New Year” variant player model mentioned below may have been a special variant prepared specifically for the map.
Unused Text#
Condition Zero Script#
Even though CSNEO 's story is completely overhauled, the original versions of czero_english.txt and cstrike_english.txt are still present, with cstrike_english.txt being translated to Japanese.
Unused Player Models#
Unknown CSF and Unknown NEO#
The game files contain two player models called "Unknown CSF" and "Unknown NEO", which respectively look like the models of Soldier and Wraith painted in yellow and gray. In addition, selection images exist for them.
Angel#
Leftovers exist for a playable character named "Angel", with her selection image implying she was a member of the CSF faction. She looks out of place among the other CSFs, with distinctive wing decals on her back, blue hair and a halo over her head.

Seiren#
According to the csv file in Drum4—which provides names and text descriptions specifically for NEO player models—this is the exclusive skin for the Area Representative in the CSNEO clanwar1 tournament. She appears to be a female NEO soldier with white hair(Purple hair at her selection image), wearing a white and rose-red(or light-blue on gameplay based her selection image?) striped bodysuit, and does not appear to have undergone any physical modifications, which makes her stand out from other NEO units.
- She has blue eyes(black at her selection image) and a completely different from how she appears in the model viewer character selection image,She based another NEO Faction Character:Ghost.
Unused SAS/Arctic Avenger and GIGN/Guerilla Warfare Models for Bots#
There are SAS and GIGN prepared for VS bots mode as well as Arctic Avenger and Guerilla Warfare player models in the game files, but in the actual botprofile data, only No.1(Seal Team 6/Phoenix Connexion) and No.2(GSG-9/Leet Crew) skins are used to distinguish the gender of the bots (No.1 for Male bot,No.2 for Female bot), Skin No.3 and No.4 are unused here.
CSF's No.3(Arctic Avenger,or Light form/ライトフォーム called by Title.txt at game file)looks like a yellow-clothes,teenage boy with a single square eyeglass in his left eye and brown hair.and No.4(Guerilla Warfare,or Heavy-form/ヘビーフォーム called by title.txt at game file)like Arctic,but his clothes is green.
NEO's No.3(SAS,or Ninnja/フォーム calledy by Title.txt at game file)looks like Blue Ver Type-Zero,and No.4(GIGN,or N-Heavy/フォーム called by Title.txt t game file)look like Normal Type-Zero Male Models.
As they only appear as unused player models in the VS bots mode, these models are possibly prototype remnants or just easter eggs.
It is worth noting that CSF’s Arctic Avenger and Guerrilla Warfare models appear to be based on the facial model of Sho, the male protagonist from CSNEO visual novel White Memories.

Unused Maps#
Old versions of Old City#
NEO_08collision.bsp or NEO_08collision.neo are used for the map "Old City", but a map called NEO_08test also exists, which appears to be a different, playable map. Another map named NEO08 is present, appearing to be a backup of NEO_08collision, and its purpose is unknown.
training_roating#
A technical test map that contains a simple room: containing one CSF and NEO spawn point, fences on the ground and a metal stick that keeps spinning.
test00#
Another test map to test entities, it contains a T-shaped room using the default textures from CS 1.6, one end of the room contains a hostage, a Bombsite area entity and a func_breakable entity and a light point entity connected to it. Other than that, there is a G3SG1, a TMP and an XM1014 on the floor, a CSF and NEO spawn point in the upper corner of the T-shaped room. The upper perimeter of the T-shaped room is surrounded by an unspecified role called show_place. The upper part of the T-shaped room is surrounded by blocks of entities of unknown function, except for the point entity of the hostage's rescue zone, which is present at the lower part of the T-shaped room. The ceiling of the room has an env_spark point entity on it for some reason, so the ceiling will spew electrical sparks.
It may have been used by Namco's mappers to test or learn how to use the various entities in Hammer.
playercamera#
This map also contains a CSF and a NEO spawn point, and the map itself is a plain white room where if players jump to the bottom, their eyes will shift to the trigger_camera entity in the map.
d_test#
Map seems to have been used to test various material placeholder textures, and it has "Sand", "Glass", "Wood","Ducts","Tiles", "Computers", "Metals", "Grates", "Dirts" and "floor_normal" for "Concrete", each make up 10 boards place at front.
there are 4 CSF Spawn points and 4 NEO Spawn points in the map.
event_master2#
CSNEO may have held a tournament like the CS Gaming Tournament in an arcade at some point in Japan: this map is evidence of that:
It looks like a tournament map for players and administrators to vote on the next map in the tournament and an offline bidding tournament, where CSFs and NEOs are disarmed and make decisions on what to use for the next tournament and pre-tournament voting.
e13#
AKA Oh! 猿山 Summer 2006(Oh! Saruyama Summer 2006),In the drum6.csv file that specifies which maps are displayed in the game, it is labeled as “e13” and is commented out at the beginning, although there is no direct evidence to support this. However, it is reasonable to speculate that it may be a discarded map from the first version of CSNEO.
- Since the first version of CSNEO is now a lost media, it is impossible to determine what this map looked like,plus to trace its possible gameplay origins—based on the name, could it be a climb/kreedz map?.
e14#
AKA 旧繁華街(Old Downtown),Just like e13, it has been commented out, and the “Old Downtown” used in the game is labeled as the “Spring version” in the drum file.
- It is unclear how this version of Old Downtown differs from the current Spring Version.
Old Downtown Secret#
In the map "Old Downtown" (旧繁华街, e20), the top of the billboard rooftop near the CSF's spawn point has a destructive block with "やめたまえ" (standing for STOP) written on it. Falling or jumping on it will cause it to explode and launch the player into the sky.
It's not certain why this was added - is this just some weird inside joke, or did some player actually try to climb up there?
Unused Bot Weapon Preferences#
The bots in CSNEO are taken from Condition Zero, except they have their own set of proprietary bot profiles and difficulty presets as well as a weapons preference table. A few unused named weapons preferences exist for them.
Template WP_VIVI
WeaponPreference = p90
WeaponPreference = deagle
End
Template WP_CHAD
WeaponPreference = ak47
End
Template WP_REVY
WeaponPreference = m4a1

End
Template WP_DIANA
WeaponPreference = awp
WeaponPreference = deagle
End
Template WP_JASON
WeaponPreference = famas
WeaponPreference = aug
WeaponPreference = m249
End
Unused Faction Selection Cards#
In owari/bmp/drum5, the folder that holds the the NEO and CSF selection card images, there are 16 cards featuring a cutout of an IRL cat, as well as 1 card with an unnamed Japanese man. It's unclear whether this is simply a placeholder or an inside joke.
Unused New Year Model Variants#
There are some player models with Japanese New Year variants.
- NEO
- Skull
Written behind him is the kanji for "初日の士",and above his head is an open paper fan with the Japan flag on it, which for some reason has an opaque background. - Warith
Has a carp flag atop his head.
There is also another New Year's variant of this model based on him, called “Golden Week,” which is only available during “Japan's New Year Golden Week.” In this variant, he has a golden carp streamer stuck on his head. - Lost Number
A miniature golden statue modeled after himself now sits atop his head.
- Skull
- CSF
- Heavy Arm
Has a red oil-paper umbrella stuck in his back, a pinball board in his left hand, and a gyro at his left shoulder.
- Heavy Arm
Unnknown Staff Skins#
Among the CSF and NEO skin preview images, images named "CSF_staff" and "NEO_staff" can be found, which may be for placeholder or internal skins used by Namco staffs.
- Following the trail, their .mdl models appear to be the CSF Soldier player model with unique facial skin and the NEO Type-Zero player model.
