Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is one of the few first-person shooters to make the leap to the DS. It is based on its big brother who, for some time, dominated the FPS market for major consoles such as Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Geist DS was never released, but the development team (n-Space) is very well known for their work on Geist, a first-person shooter for the GameCube. In fact, several if not most of the names mentioned within the unused credits file were part of the Geist development team. Rumors of a Geist DS surfaced when IGN toured n-Space's office while Geist for GameCube was still in development. A released video revealed a developer working with a Nintendo DS development kit, substantiating the rumor.

While it is unknown if the DS Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare originally started as Geist DS, it is safe to say Geist DS did exist at one point.
