WWE 2K is the second mobile game released by WWE, coming three months after WWE Immortals, as well as the second game in the WWE 2K franchise. WWE Superstar John Cena curated the soundtrack, which includes some original tracks produced by Cena and artist Wiz Khalifa. Unlike the rest of the series until WWE 2K20, this version of the game was developed by n-Space rather than long-term WWE partner Yuke's, using assets from the seventh generation console releases of WWE 2K15. This game was discontinued, possibly due to 2K15 being discontinued.
10 years later, a mobile version of WWE 2K25 was released by Netflix on October 2025, which plays closer to its console counterpart, but with some limitations.
Unused Videos#
Found in the .obb in Assets/Design/Test are various placeholder videos. Their file dates state they were modified on September 30, 2014, about 7 months prior to the game's release.
A Video About A Baseball Game Inside a WWE Game#
introVideo.ogv#
Strangely, this seems to be a video of an American League Championship Series game between the Red Sox and the Detroit Tigers. What it's doing here is anyone's guess, though it's likely to be a compression test for video files.
Entrance Videos#
The entrance videos that are used in-game are setup very differently, these appear to be the raw/unedited versions of said videos.
BigShow.ogv#
Big Show's entrance video, but with no audio.
Hulk_Hogan_Entrance_Video.ogv#
Hulk Hogan's entrance video.
OrtonNoAudio.ogv#
Like the file name states, this is Randy Orton's entrance video with no audio.
John_Cena_Introduction_Video.ogv#
A longer version of John Cena's entrance video.
Windows Folder#
A folder in the .obb data, located at assets/Audio/Windows, contains sounds from the Microsoft Windows port of WWE 2K15.
