Code#
modules/debug/mapstatistics contains quite a few .bat files that were used during development. None of them have any use since the files they mention aren't present.
launch_game.bat:
chdir /d %myDataDirectory%
start %myServer% -connect_dev "map.statistics" -invulnerable -map %1 -noai
"%myClient%" -connect_dev "map.statistics" -invulnerable -map %1 -startgame -nofocussleep -autologin unsupervised -nosequencecamera -noboom -nobloombergreporter -p4env -exec %2
taskkill /im %myServerExe%
chdir /d %myMapStatisticsDir%
run_debug.bat:
SET myServerExe=RogueWorldServer_x64_Debug.exe
SET myClientExe=Rogue_x64_Debug.exe
SET myPath=../code/Output-VS11/Debugx64/
SET myClient=%myPath%%myClientExe%
SET myServer=%myPath%%myServerExe%
SET myMapStatisticsDir=%CD%
cd..
cd..
cd..
SET myDataDirectory=%CD%
chdir /d %myMapStatisticsDir%
CALL launch_game.bat "gym_leveleditor 3" "modules/debug/mapstatistics/local_script.txt"
run_latest_build.bat:
SET myMapStatisticsDir=%CD%
cd..
cd..
cd..
SET myDataDirectory=%CD%
chdir /d %myMapStatisticsDir%
SET myServerExe=RogueWorldServer_x64_Release.exe
SET myClientExe=Rogue_x64_Release.exe
SET myClient=%myClientExe%
SET myServer=%myServerExe%
CALL launch_game.bat "gym_leveleditor 3" "modules/debug/mapstatistics/build_server_script.txt"
run_release.bat:
SET myServerExe=RogueWorldServer_x64_Release.exe
SET myClientExe=Rogue_x64_Release.exe
SET myPath=../code/Output-VS11/Releasex64/
SET myClient=%myPath%%myClientExe%
SET myServer=%myPath%%myServerExe%
SET myMapStatisticsDir=%CD%
cd..
cd..
cd..
SET myDataDirectory=%CD%
chdir /d %myMapStatisticsDir%
CALL launch_game.bat "gym_leveleditor 3" "modules/debug/mapstatistics/local_script.txt"
local_script.txt contains leftover scripts from a level editor:
module.load Debug.MapStatistics
script.begin name="MapStatistics"
rogue.waitForInGame
console.cmd cmd="ui.render.draw no"
console.cmd cmd="Rogue.LocalPlayer.UsePhysics false"
debug.mapStatistics.initBaked file="_performancecameras.txt" rangestart=0 rangeend=3
Debug.MapStatistics.Execute profile="Average" output="modules/debug/mapstatistics/output/Data"
Debug.MapStatistics.BuildLog input="modules/debug/mapstatistics/output/Data" output="modules/debug/mapstatistics/output/Log"
Debug.MapStatistics.IncrementFakeRevision
console.cmd cmd="uncleanquit"
script.end
The folder local_maps contains even more .bat files.
fpp_peru.bat:
CALL Game.bat "%~n0"
game.bat:
SET myMapStatisticsDir=%CD%
cd..
cd..
cd..
cd..
SET myDataDirectory=%CD%
chdir /d %myMapStatisticsDir%
SET client=Rogue_x64_Release.exe
SET script="modules/debug/mapstatistics/local_script.txt"
chdir /d %myDataDirectory%
%client% -invulnerable -map %1 -startgame -autologin unsupervised -nosequencecamera -exec %script%
chdir /d %myMapStatisticsDir%
gym_leveleditor andreasn.bat:
CALL Game.bat "%~n0"
The filename is most likely referring to Andreas Nilsson, who is listed as "Snowdrop Contributor" and "Tech & Tools" in the credits.
nyc_manhattan.bat:
CALL Game.bat "%~n0"
bloomberg_camel.cfg contains some development leftovers:
{
server = "msr-cam-blo01.ubisoft.org",
serverport = 11620,
reporterport = 11622,
launcher = "tools/bloomberg/Bloomberg.Reporter.Launcher.exe",
}
commandlines.txt contains exactly that, a list of commands:
{
localserver = {
params_common = {
"-startgame",
"-synergy",
// "-shaderserver",
"-noshadersdf",
"-noAssetScanner",
// "-online",
"-noserver",
"-join_most_populated_server",

params_pc = {},

params_xboxone = {},
proxylist = "rogue-live-core.ubisoft.org",
proxylist_port = "51000",

}
camel/console scripts/startup contains some...well, console scripts.
always.txt:
script.begin name="startup_always"
// Warning This can cause the script to take a lot of time to launch
// Ctrl-G while waiting will cause crash when 'cancel' of UI is selected
//camel.waitForInGame
// DEBUGGING TOOLS
// LIVING TOWN
// SCRIPTING
script.end
editor.txt:
script.begin name="startup_editor"
// LIVING TOWN
// console.cmd cmd="Town.Spawn.GraphDisplay.Disabled 0"
// SCRIPTING
// DEBUGGING TOOLS
script.end
load_profile:
script.begin name="load_profile"
// ABILITIES
// console.cmd cmd="Camel.Player.SetInspectionMode 1"
// console.cmd cmd="Camel.TimeFart.UnlockAllTimefart 1"
// console.cmd cmd="Camel.UnlockAllPowers 1"
script.end
new_profile.txt:
script.begin name="new_profile"
// ABILITIES
//console.cmd cmd="Camel.player.SetMasterlyPoint 180"
script.end
Text#
Nearly EVERY SINGLE file in the game contains developer notes. Some of them are more interesting than others...
Links#
Interestingly, some files contain links to various sources.
combat_feedback_health.mcompoundnode contains a link to a Wikipedia article about the trajectory of projectiles, for whatever reason:
Direction Conversion/Degrees to radians https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trajectory_of_a_projectile
modules/core/settings/editor_settings.cfg contains a link to a Ubisoft site:
Localization = {
["Oasis Host"] = "http://oasis-mdc.ubisoft.org/camel",
}
These next ones are perhaps the most interesting ones out of all of them. Some .mscript files contain links to databases hosted with a service called Jira, that most likely contained prototype builds of the game. Most of the files they're found in are related to DLC areas (except for two). The numbers next to "CAMEL" are most likely build numbers.

script_41b1a55457fd767b000e9177a3861b71 also contains what appears to be a conversation between Jon Breitner (former gameplay scripter), Kenan Alpay (former senior game designer) and Kevin Sultan (former game designer):
Breitner: removing coonstagram reward logic because yaoi is being rewarded at bank already: https://mdc-tomcat-jira98.ubisoft.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-109118
Kenan: This is disconnected because it was firing during the Mephesto Crawl and during the Kill your Mom/Dad Moment
Please re hook up after troubleshooting this.

script_7496947956c3aced0000221ead4ff1a5 has what appears to be the earliest build out of all of them:

ui_system_gettingstarted.muigraph contains another link, and a dev comment which suggest that it was the first ever .muigraph file put in the game:
https://mdc-web-tomcat17.ubisoft.org/confluence/display/sfproject/Snowdrop+UI+System
ui system - getting started
And lastly script_8e2c18345a9f3cfa0001f406b535801d contains a link to Shotgun Studio (now known as Autodesk), which, judging by the link, lead to some sort of design document:
