Pac-Man (Neo Geo Pocket Color)

Pac-Man on the Neo Geo Pocket Color is a pretty unremarkable port, all things considered. It originally came with a CrossRing, which was an accessory for the NGPC joystick which restricted it to four-directional movement.

This text is in the same format as similar text from the arcade version of Pac-Man. This means the developers worked closely with the original to make this port very accurate. It is also possible they adapted some of the original's code into this port, given that this text ended up in the ROM.

One notable detail is that the text contains the Japanese names and nicknames for each ghost, as well as the localised American names and nicknames created by Midway. In the final game, only the American names are used. It also contains the original Japanese title for the arcade game, "PUCKMAN". It is unknown which specific revision of the arcade game this text was taken from, as the American revision which introduced the new names does not have the text "PUCKMAN" in its ROM.
