Hotel Dusk: Room 215 is a visual novel for the Nintendo DS, released following the success of the Ace Attorney series. The game had a sequel called Last Window: The Secret of Cape West which, much like Trace Memory's sequel, didn't get a North American release. Last Window: The Secret of Cape West was the last game developed by CiNG before they went bankrupt.

Anti-Piracy#

The Korean version of this game utilizes the DS Protect anti-piracy library to ensure that it is not being run off a flashcart or emulator. If any of the DS Protect checks fail, the game sets a pirate flag. If this flag is set, the game intentionally crashes during the cutscene where the player first encounters Helen Parker near the beginning of Chapter 1. It is still possible to play subsequent chapters by using the debug menu.

Oddities#

Careful, you'll lose an eye.

This page or section needs more images.
There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this.

The US version erroneously uses the Japanese blue Nintendo logo while the game is booting up.
