Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King

Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King is a compilation of two (and eventually three) Disney games from the fourth generation, each of which are presented in three different versions (including the Game Boy!).

It might be the only collection in history to be leaked by GameStop.

agb_boot.bin#

Despite the collection (including its post-launch DLC pack) not containing any Game Boy Advance games, a basic homebrew replacement for Nintendo's copyrighted BIOS exists in the files. This seems to suggest that, although the only Aladdin games featured are the Genesis and Game Boy ones developed by Virgin Games, there might have been plans to include the Capcom game as well, both since it had a port on the GBA, and to complement the SNES version of The Lion King.

Leftover .sh script#

convert.sh is a basic shell script used by the developers to convert various video files to .mp4 and .webm.

Achievement_test.png from the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection has been leftover in this compilation's data.

LogoClassicsCollection_old.png is an early logo for the collection, featuring a distinct lack of directly naming the two included titles.
