Bomberman: Party Edition is a remake of the original Bomberman featuring pre-rendered graphics and an expansive multiplayer mode similar to the ones in more recent games in the series at the time of its release.

A Windows port of the European version was later released in 2004 in the extremely obscure Japan-only Bomberman Collection vol. 2.

DUMMY.BIN#

DUMMY.BIN in the US version is a 32 MB file containing nothing but the word HUDSON repeated.

  • The copyright date is different in all versions; the Japanese is "©1985, 1998." The European is "©1985, 1999." And the American is just "©2000."
  • In the American version, “Party Edition” was added to the title. This game was released as just "Bomberman" in Europe and Japan.
  • In the European version, there is a "TM" present next to the title. This was changed to a "®" in the American release, while in the Japanese release there is nothing present next to the title.
  • In the Japanese release, the "Press Start Button" is written in Japanese.
