Alphys's Crush#

LOOLLLL IF YOU CAME TO THIS PART OF THE CODE TO SEE WHO I HAVE A CRUSH ON YOURE OUT OF LUCK

The script for Mettaton's quiz contains a variable with the name fsgsfgsx with this comment, ostensibly meant to be an in-character quote from Alphys. Specifically, it's placed right after when Mettaton mentions that Alphys names programming variables after her crush, and thus appears to be a bit of an in-joke to people reading the game script.

Monster History Part 6, 7, and 8#

Unused monster history book texts that include the only outright confirmation of what "fallen down" monsters (as discussed in Alphys's journals) are. Oddly enough, in versions prior to 1.001-4 (1.05 on PC), Part 6 appears in the script twice.

Unused Alphys Status Updates#

Two unused Alphys status updates intended to appear in room_fire10, the room with the three switches puzzle and the infamous donkeykongismyfavoritemarvelsuperhero variable. The first status update appears before completing the puzzle, and the second appears after completing the puzzle. Removed by version 1.001-4 (1.05 on PC).

Pyrope NPC#

It ends up going unseen as the first line is set to end the dialogue, and the unused line is strangely set as the third message instead of the second. Removed by version 1.001-4 (1.05 on PC).

Mortal Enemy Request#

Unused dialogue for Mettaton sending you a "Mortal Enemy request", possibly a joke based on the idea of a "friend request". When accepting the request, Papyrus makes a comment on it. Afterwards, there is dialogue for Mettaton sending you an invitation to "Die."

 * METTATON has sent you a

This string seems to be placeholder text for the response of any choice when Mettaton sends you an invitation to "Die". Yes, a placeholder for an unused choice.

Art Club Room#

This message can be found if you read the sign in the art club room in Hotland (where the secret boss So Sorry normally is) on a genocide route. However, the entire second floor of Hotland is blocked off by a force field when on the genocide route, making this impossible to see normally. As the sign suggests, So Sorry never appears there during that route.

English

Japanese

 * (Art club is cancelled!)

 * (おえかきクラブは
  ちゅうしです!)

An early version of the default text on the Art Club sign, in which "Art Club" is misspelt as "Ark Club" and it specifically mentions Tuesday October 10th being the date instead of just any October 10th. The code that this is found in even checks for this, meaning that the So Sorry fight would've been even rarer to encounter without changing your device's date and time settings. Removed by version 1.001-4 (1.05 on PC).

Slow-dance with Mettaton#

To do:
Needs detail on how this text could be seen in the Xbox version.

Located in the code for the "Undertale: the Musical" cutscene, possibly indicating that you were originally meant to dance with Mettaton. There's even broken code to handle it!

These once were seen in the Xbox One release, playing out as intended, due to a technical oddity that really was a bug. They were later removed in a patch.

Unused Mettaton Death NPC Dialogue#

If you kill Mettaton, various NPCs around Hotland will have new dialogue talking about his death. Due to you not being able to go through Alphys's lab after this point, the areas between her lab and the cooking show are inaccessible; however, the NPCs for these areas still have unique dialogue talking about Mettaton's death.

English

Japanese

AHHHHHHH!!!!!

ああぁーーーーーッ!!!

Flavor text set to appear when So Sorry's mercy is greater than 100%, which is impossible to see as the battle ends before it can be shown. Based on the punctuation at the end and the context of the message, it seems like it wasn't intended to be seen and was just meant for testing.

English

Japanese

An early version of the flavor text hinting you towards cleaning RG02's armor found in the code for RG01. The flavor text in the battle is handled through 02's object. (except for when he's dead, but even then this would get replaced by the flavor text for that scenario)
